Reform Readiness Reviews
Helping schools, colleges and trusts understand what the SEND reforms could mean for them and how they can start planning for the future.

The SEND landscape is changing. The direction of travel under the proposed SEND reforms focuses heavily on inclusion, with even greater expectations set to be placed on mainstream schools and colleges to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, stronger accountability at every level, and a growing body of obligations that schools are already expected to be working towards.
Schools that understand what is expected of them now and going forward will be in a far stronger position as those obligations develop. Schools that wait will find themselves reacting under pressure rather than responding with confidence.
Like an Inclusion Practice Audit, a Reform Readiness Review involves a review of your key documents and a structured conversation with key team members across your setting, resulting in a clear, honest picture of where you stand in relation to current requirements and the emerging obligations that are shaping the future of SEND in mainstream education. It identifies your strongest foundations, the gaps that need attention, and a practical set of priorities to help you move forward in a way that is manageable and proportionate. You will receive a written report at the end of the process, setting out you setting's current position and a prioritised set of recommendations.
This is not about predicting exactly what legislation will say or when it will come into force. It is about making sure your school is building in the right direction; grounded in law, focused in practice, and ready for what comes next.
A reform readiness review is scoped and priced individually based on the size and complexity of your setting. Get in touch to discuss what would work for you.
